I fell pregnant aged 13 and got famous for it – I’ve had another kid since then but people say my daughter has no hope
A WOMAN who fell pregnant at 13 and was told by cruel trolls she should die has hit back at relentless trolls.
Maddie Lambert-Crowley, now 21, is mum to Everly, seven, and baby Ryder, who will soon be one.
She has previously hit back at trolls who said she must be a bad mother for getting pregnant so young.
Maddie dropped out of school after falling pregnant with her first child, but has now completed her first degree.
But the mum has revealed she still receives negative comments from trolls all these years later.
Posting to YouTube, Maddie sat in a car with her daughter and husband as music blared out with the lyrics “middle fingers to my haters, all you bi***es jealous.”
Over the screen, the mum wrote: “When someone says my daughter has no hope because I had her at 14.”
The clip quickly went viral, with hundreds of people rushing to defend Maddie and her daughter.
One commented: “They should be ashamed of themselves!!! This girl can do anything and accomplish great things!!! You Show ’em Everly!!!”
“It’s sad you went through that at 14 but your daughter is awesome brave and confident what can’t she do,” a second wrote.
A third chimed in: “I can’t understand how anyone can fault you in how you’ve been as a mother.
Are you perfect? heck no but are any of us? Definitely not. Never sweat the haters they just jealous.”
And someone else agreed: “Actually, I think you’re doing amazing because it takes so much mental and physical strength to be a mother, ESPECIALLY at such a young age.
“You can do this, and you’re doing amazing.”
Cruel remarks
The mum-of-two has previously opened up about the “hate” she received when telling the world she was pregnant aged 13.
“Whenever you would see the media surrounding teen mums, you see the TV shows, and it’s just really negative and it shows a lot of drama,” she told Truly.
“When I actually got pregnant, I was so scared of the reaction people were gonna give.
“I did get a lot of negative reactions, a lot of hate.”
People told the then-teenager that she had “ruined her life”, with one troll even wishing death on her.
“Everybody had something to say and they didn’t hold back,” she continued.
“I had people send me the address to abortion clinics.”
Other girls at school mocked Maddie and put sports balls under their tops to mimic her bump when she was seven months pregnant.
This pushed her to drop out.
Maddie is a firm believer that teen pregnancy isn’t something to “look down” on young girls for.
She has openly admitted that she judged teen mums before becoming one, but now views things differently.
Parenting classes
Maddie acknowledged that having kids so young wasn’t advisable.
She said: “I don’t recommend having kids as a teenager because you don’t know the things you need to know to be a parent.
“But I’ve definitely become more informed, even scientifically, on different practices.”
The mum revealed she took “a child psychology class” before their daughter was born, in which they l
2learned a lot about development and how to aid in that, which was great.
“I’d say I’m just a lot more informed now, and things like schedules, what we’re feeding our kids, and that sort of thing have changed a lot since growing up.
“Not even really since adding another kid; I feel like my parenting style has just changed as I’ve gotten older and more mature.”
