The Lakers need to get back on track by winning their next set of games, starting with the Suns on Sunday.

After a rather forgettable road trip that saw them lose four straight games, the Lakers are back home, where the Phoenix Suns will greet them on Sunday.

This is the first of back-to-back games for Los Angeles and the fifth match in 10 nights. L.A. looks to clinch the season series over Phoenix with a win.

The Lakers haven’t won a game in a week and believe it or not, it’s something that hasn’t happened this season.

Fortunately for them, this four-game losing streak hasn’t affected them so much because they’ve built up enough of a margin for error throughout the last five months.

L.A. can easily still bounce back, but that has to happen right now.

With the lifeless Suns visiting the Lakers on Sunday, Los Angeles has to do everything they can to pounce on them. It’s the perfect opportunity to snap their losing streak and return to the winning column. Phoenix has lost six out of their last 10 and are pretty much just sleepwalking to the end of the season.

What has led the Suns to this position, in my opinion, is their horrendous team defense. There’s a reason why they have a bottom-three defense in the league, and that starts with the fact that they don’t have rim protection and point-of-attack defenders, thus making it extremely easy for opponents to score on them.

Hopefully, Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves will lead the way offensively on Sunday. It would also be nice if the whole team showed up again like they did last Friday when they took the Denver Nuggets down the wire and almost upset them.

Some more good news for the Lakers is that there’s a decent chance they get starting center Jaxson Hayes back in this one, which should provide an additional boost.

As long as L.A. makes sure that Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal don’t pop off, they should be okay in this one.

The Lakers should also approach this game with the eagerness to end their losing streak because the last thing they want right now is to continue dropping winnable games. It’s time to get back on track and take care of business.

Let’s see if the Lakers can do just that against the Suns on Sunday.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo and discussed the challenges in dealing with the left-wing media.

“How would you characterize the ‘resist and the challenges’ of, from, I guess AP has been pushing back on your press conferences pretty often?” Bartiromo asked.

“Well, first of all with that individual reporter from the Associated Press who tried to test me on tariffs, he clearly fails to see President Trump’s long-term economic strategy,” Leavitt said.

“As for the greater mainstream media’s coverage, I think that example proves that they are continuing to double down on their failing ways. They focus on sensationalism, on trying to get a viral moment, rather than asking tough questions with honest integrity and journalistic curiosity,” Leavitt said.

“That’s why the trust in the mainstream media has fallen to record lows,” Leavitt continued.

“We are very proud of the changes that we have made to the briefing room and also to the press coverage of this President welcoming in independent voices and new media who truly care about the truth, honesty and accuracy,” Leavitt continued.

Bartiromo also asked Press Secretary Leavitt about the resistance that President Trump has been getting in general, from the media to activist judges.

“What do you want to say about the general resistance to this President’s policies that you are witnessed to?” Bartiromo asked.

“President Trump is not shy of resistance. He has been facing more resistance than anyone who has ever run for office in American history. And the mainstream media is part of that, but also as you mentioned, we have judges in our judicial branch who are acting as activists, not real arbiters of the law,” Leavitt continued.

“Everything President Trump is doing is within his executive authority to do it. He is acting within the bounds of the law. All of his actions are Constitutional,” Leavitt declared.

“Don’t bet against President Trump. I think his epic return to the Oval Office proves that he is going to win against the weaponization of our justice system,” Leavitt said.

Bartiromo also showed the difference in the illegal border crossings and how they have been greatly reduced under President Trump. Secretary Leavitt responded.

“In just one month, President Trump has used his executive authority to secure our southern border. It proves that everybody who claimed we needed a border bill was wrong. We just needed a new President who actually cared about securing our homeland and enforcing our immigration laws,” Leavitt said.
