All the signs Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne had split from ditching wedding rings to rumours of marriage in crisis
JACQUELINE Jossa and Dan Osborne’s split has come after numerous signs their marriage was on the rocks – before The Sun revealed Dan had moved out.
From the absence of wedding rings to selling their house, the couple had been swamped with rumours they’d called it a day.
However, Jacqueline denied anything was wrong, saying in January: “We crack on with our day jobs and looking after our kids.”
The couple’s last public appearance together before The Sun revealed their split was at the premiere of Sonic 3 in London in mid December, where they posed as a family with their children.
Jacqueline shared a photo from the red carpet, while Dan posted happy snaps of the family meeting Hollywood star Jim Carrey.
Meanwhile, in more recent pics both Jacqueline and Dan have been spotted without their wedding rings.
One of Jacqueline earlier this month, taken at home in the sunshine, showed her hands bare.
Jacqueline’s last solo picture featuring just her and her husband was taken back in October.
Ex Towie star Dan had his arm around her, and she leaned in close in the romantic black and white photo, which she captioned with two heart emojis.
In another major sign of change, they decided to put their £2million Essex mansion on the market.
The sudden move sparked further speculation around their marriage as they had previously referred to it as their “forever home.”
The EastEnders actress addressed the speculation after reports first emerged in January.
The mum-of-two said: “People seem to think they know more about my life than I do.
“They were saying: ‘Jacqueline didn’t spend Christmas with Daniel.’ But all I have to do is post pictures of us together with Christmas hats on. We lie in bed next to each other, laughing and reading stuff online about us.
“The speculation is ridiculous, but at the same time, I know it comes with the job, so I do understand it.”
Last week, Dan was seen packing his bags and is now staying in a house nearby, while Jacqueline remains in their Essex home with their two daughters.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Jacqueline and Dan are on a break and are spending time apart from each other.
“They kindly ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this together.”
The insider added that the couple is still figuring things out and said: “Jacqueline and Dan are working things out amicably and have not made a concrete decision on the future of their relationship.
“There is nothing else to it other than two people working through a relationship.”
Confirming the split, a representative for the couple released a statement saying: “Jacqueline and Dan are handling things privately.”
Jacqueline, best known for playing Lauren Branning in EastEnders, met former The Only Way Is Essex star Dan at an awards ceremony in 2013.
They married in 2017 in a glamorous ceremony covered by OK! Magazine.
The couple share two daughters, aged nine and six, while Dan also has an 11-year-old son from a previous relationship.
Reflecting on her family life, Jacqueline once wrote on social media: “I couldn’t ask for a better family, filled with strong women!
“My girls are my absolute world and I can’t actually get over how lucky I am.”
Now, despite their efforts to make things work, sources say the couple made the difficult decision to take time apart.
They said: “Neither of them knows what is going to happen in the future, but for now they’ve decided living apart and taking a break from each other is what they need.”
Jacqueline has been overhauling her lifestyle in recent months.
She recently told The Sun: “I feel 100% better. It’s not been a quick fix. I kept falling back into bad habits, but it’s been a mindset change.”
She added: “I also think it’s really important for me to be a good role model for my children. I want them to see how important it is to work and make your own money, as well as looking after yourself.
“When I wasn’t working, it just became a habit to meet my friends for lunch and it turned into a bigger thing.
“And then I would pick at the kids’ leftovers. I wouldn’t class it as a meal, but then you realise if you put it all on one plate, it is quite a lot. And then I would have my own dinner on top of that. I don’t do that any more. I just give the leftovers to the dog now!
“I’m going to the gym a lot … The exercise is more for my brain, as I feel a lot better for going, even if I just do a walk or a swim. That’s better than nothing.”
