Furious Corrie star is suing England ace Ella Toone’s boyfriend after he branded him ‘disgusting’ in online rant
CORRIE’S Ryan Prescott is suing England Lioness Ella Toone’s boyfriend — for branding him “disgusting” on Instagram.
Joe Bunney accused Ryan and actress partner Amy Lythgoe of squatting in a flat they rent from him.
The former Bolton Wanderers player, 31, said the tenancy is up and he wants to move in his grandad, 78.
Manchester-based Joe told his 36,500 followers that the widower had been left homeless.
Ryan, 36 — the Street’s Ryan Connor — and Amy, 30, deny the claims and have filed a £60,000 libel and defamation lawsuit at the High Court.
They claim the post, widely circulated before its deletion, had a devastating impact.
They said the allegations of “squatting, trespassing and of causing hardship” had been highly damaging.
The pair also want an online retraction.
No defence has been filed by Joe whose girlfriend Ella, 25, plays for Man United and scored as England won the Women’s Euros in 2022.
The dispute began last June when Manchester-based non-league player Joe posted a furious complaint on his Instagram account.
