Vincent van der Voort has plenty of good anecdotesGetty
Appearing on a podcast, Van der Voort relived a hilarious anecdote from a former event in Belgium.
Speaking on Darts Draait Door, he said: “Back in the day, we had the Primus Masters.
“It was a darts tournament organised at a holiday park in Belgium until 2009.
“It was non-stop darts during the day, followed by lively parties in the evenings. One night, I decided to join the festivities.
“But on my way back… well, all those cottages looked the same. I ended up walking into the wrong one, thinking it was mine.
“I sat down on the sofa – only to realise I was in a stranger’s house!”
Having thought he’d trudged home, Van der Voort tried to pinch something from the strangers’ frudge.
“I opened it and thought, ‘Damn, they’ve finished everything,” he said.

To this he added, laughing: “Well, they should have locked the door.
“Or maybe they were waiting for someone to come home.”
Van der Voort retains fond memories of the old Primus Masters.
He reminisced: “I’ve been around for a while.
“A real dinosaur. But those were fantastic tournaments – I loved going there.”
