I hated stepping into my ‘dull’ bathroom, so I transformed it using a £19 Shein buy – and people say it’s ‘stunning’ now
TRANSFORMING your bathroom can be a pretty big shock to your wallet.
But now one thrifty woman has revealed how she gave her ”dull” bathroom a brand new look without forking out a fortune.
Thrifty TikToker Nicci Gemini said she ”hated” stepping into her old bathroom, as it didn’t have any character – and the only way she could describe it was ”boring”.
Just like in most households, the walls were white and the flooring was darker – something Nicci couldn’t stand.
”I just wanted it to be pretty,” she recently said on her platform.
But rather than spending thousands to totally revamp it, money-smart Nicci found a purse-friendly solution – and decided to spruce up the space herself.
How, you may wonder? Thanks to affordable stick-on tiles from the only mega retailer Shein.
Peel-and-stick tiles are known for their ease of installation, making them a great option for DIY projects and renters – however, but they may not be as durable or long-lasting as traditional tiles.
Whether you’re after a modern aesthetic or a traditional finish, the market offers something for everyone’s taste, and shoppers can find them at major retailers like B&Q or order from Amazon.
China-based Shein is also offering a huge range of this DIY bargain, with varying prices depending on the design you opt for.
Although Nicci hasn’t revealed how much her press-on tiles were, Shein customers can snap up a similar pack for just £19 – and it comes with 15 tiles in total.
Once she had applied the grey marble-effect tiles onto the shower walls, Nicci also used a grey grout pen – to ensure no water could seep through the space between the tiles.
Another easy trick to make the bathroom look brand new was by getting rid of grim mould marks on the sealant, she revealed in the video.
Fellow DIY lovers can purchase this bathroom essential from a variety of retailers, with the average price being around £10.
Although thrifty Nicci is yet to tackle the flooring, the bathroom already looks unrecognisable – and people can’t believe how ”stunning” it is, despite setting her back just £200.

How does Shein work and are other brands listed on their website?
Known for their cheap clothing, Shein sells its own products and acts as a marketplace for third-party sellers.
They do not sell designer brands, and in the past have been plagued by accusations of counterfeits and copyright violations.
Previously brands like Ralph Lauren and Oakley have sued the fashion giant for violating their intellectual property rights.
Facebook users shared their thoughts on the item on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
“Oooohh I absolutely loveee these !!!” wrote one impressed commenter.
Another person described the quality as “fabulous”, revealing that she was shocked by how sturdy the item was.
And the bedroom storage isn’t the only discounted deal available from Shein’s furniture selection.
Shoppers can nab the Three-Layer Waterproof Bathroom Cabinet for just £11.82.
