Love Island All Stars winners Casey and Gabby take savage swipe at Liv Hawkins as feud over text messages explodes
LOVE Island stars Casey O’Gorman and Gabby Allen have slammed Liv Hawkins as the text message feud explodes.
The row erupted when Liv, 29, entered the villa the night before the final and claimed she’d seen text messages from Grace vowing to do anything it takes to win.
Grace responded: “That is absolutely not true. I do not care about winning the show.” Olivia told her: “I’ve seen the screenshots.”
Grace encouraged her to send the apparent “receipts,” saying: “I would love to see them” adding someone must have “forged” the messages.
All Stars winners Casey and Gabby have now had their say on the matter – as they brutally branded the move “distasteful”.
Gabby said on Olivia Attwood’s latest podcast episode: “When Liv stood up and just went for Grace straight away, we were like ‘oh my god, this is the first person’, from then my stomach was churning. We were like ‘what’s coming on us’.”
Olivia then quizzed the couple and asked if the messages were real or fake.
Gabby replied: “Just about the messages, whether they do or don’t exist, that whole thing is so eggy and not nice for anyone involved.
“It’s not like we want people to do things to make people vote for us or for people to go against Grace, she had a really hard time for a few days, it was just not nice, it was so distasteful and I’d prefer them not to have done it to be honest.”
Casey said: “If someone stood up and say they said this – you can’t say you haven’t because you have no way to prove it and you can’t get your phone out and be like ‘well no I didn’t’, it’s a weird one.”
Gabby was quick to shut down the authenticity of the messages.
She continued: “Even to this day, there are a couple of different versions going around.
“I feel like we should make the executive decision that it doesn’t exist and someone just pulled that out of thin air for some reason, but we definitely didn’t stand by it.”
Speaking out for the first time since the show ended, Liv told SnatchedByWill podcast the situation had taken its toll on her.
She broke down in floods of tears as she defended herself and said producers begged her to share what she saw.
In a snippet from the interview shared on Instagram, Olivia revealed: “I said this piece of information to producers, and they wanted me to, you know, say what I’ve seen.
“What I will say is, do people really think I would go on national television and lie about something so serious as that?”
The star, who faced backlash after her first stint on Love Island for rows with her villa co-stars, admitted she was prepared for controversy but insisted she never wanted Grace to face hate.
She added: “Well, obviously, the first time I went on Love Island, it was quite controversial when I came out, so I was used to that side.
“And then when I went back on and, you know, dropped that tiny piece of information… tiny, tiny, just a bit of a grenade. Just a little bit,” she said, trying to laugh through her tears.
“I never wanted Grace to get any hate. That wasn’t my intention. It was a show.”
Olivia admitted she needed to step back after the fallout, adding: “I just needed, like, a moment to myself. Because I’ve always been, like, such a strong person.”
The former ring girl wrote underneath the post: “Thank you for allowing me to be so vulnerable, needed this chat.”
BOMBSHELL ALLEGATION
While Liv was back in the villa, she left the Islanders reeling when she said: “So I’ve seen text messages of Grace just saying to someone that she’ll do whatever it takes to win the show this time from someone back home.”
Harriett Blackmore was quick to chime in, telling Grace: “She probably made it up babe, like she did with Ronnie.”
Grace added to her partner Luca Bish: “Baby, that is absolutely not true. I do not care about winning this show.”
However, former Islanders Mitch Taylor and Ella Thomas both backed Olivia on social media.
“Messy Mitch confirming what Liv said is true on his Snapchat,” penned one person on X.
They also shared a screenshot from Mitch’s Snapchat where he wrote: “Liv low key gutted she’s said that. Hats off to her for speaking her mind.
“I can’t say too much, but I heard this story loads in the last two weeks.”
