Luigi Mangione Receives $36,500 Anonymous Donation - Find Out What the Donor Wrote!
Luigi Mangione has someone backing him in a big way.
A mystery donor just gave the 26-year-old accused killer of UnitedHealthcare insurance CEO Brian Thompson a donation of $36,500, and provided an explanation in a note.
The donation arrived to the official defense fund earlier this week, marking the biggest donation to date by any individual, per People.
The donor also supplied a comment explaining the donation.

“What intrigues me about this case is how unified folks’ responses are regardless of strata,” the anonymous donor wrote.
“In Corporate America, for instance, there has been widespread doubt of potential prosecutorial mishandling and overcharging.”
“I’ve also been surprised at the almost ubiquitous nature of support towards the suspect that I would expect to be quite bifurcated in this type of litigation,” they said, adding: “Quite exceptional.”
The note left on Luigi Mangione’s defense fund by the anonymous donor
The person’s donation beat out the previous highest donation of $30,000 made some time in February. The new top donation has increased the total raised for his defense fund to over $722,000, bringing the total closer to the fund’s goal sum of $1 million.
The donations are being collected to cover his legal bills from the December 4 Legal Committee a fundraiser on GiveSendGo for his legal defense.
