Police identify woman killed in front of north Topeka store
TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Topeka Police Department (TPD) has issued an update Tuesday after a woman was killed by a vehicle in front of a major store.
Rosie Nichols with the City of Topeka said the identity of the person who died Monday is Alice J. Thomas, 70, of Topeka. Nichols did not report whether police have made any arrests yet in connection to this incident.
Police were called around 3:35 p.m. on March 10 to the 2600 block of Northwest Rochester Road on reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian in the parking lot of a store. Medical personnel responding to the incident declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.
