Serena Williams Showcases Dolce & Gabbana’s Keira Sandals at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Serena Williams decided on a black color scheme for the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by Radhika Jones at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on March 2, showcasing a Dolce & Gabbana ensemble including minimalist heeled sandals with a silver chain detail.
The tennis legend showed off a strapless black dress featuring a lustrous sequined bodice and a flowing, semi-sheer black skirt. The floor-sweeping skirt featured a high slit which allowed for leg and footwear to be seen. Among her jewelry was a layered diamond necklace with a teardrop jewel pendant; her hair was styled in cascading blonde waves, serving as a bright contrast to her dark dress.
Continuing with Dolce & Gabbana for her shoes, Williams wore a pair of black sandals to accompany her gown. She opted for the designer’s Keira sandals, which come entirely in patent leather and feature the DG logo detail on the strap.
With a simple strap across the toes and a thinner strap around the ankle, the sandals showcased a minimalist design. In a chic metallic moment, the tennis star wore a slender silver chain encircled around her ankle. The shoes are currently available on the brand’s website and are priced at $925.
While not a platform style like the shoes Vanessa Hudgens wore to the same party, which appeared to be a black leather version of Dolce & Gabbana’s Keira sandal, Williams’ shoes featured a high heel which elongated her look for the occasion.
Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the 97th Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on March 2. “Anora” was the major winner of the night, taking home Best Picture and four more awards including Best Director for Sean Baker and Best Actress in a Leading Role for Mikey Madison.
Additional winners included Adrien Brody, who won Best Actor in a Leading Role for “The Brutalist”; Zoe Saldaña, who won Best Actress in a Supporting Role for “Emilia Pérez”; and Kieran Culkin, who won Best Actor in Supporting Role for “A Real Pain.” Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo of “Wicked” opened the show with a touching medley of songs.
