6 injured after three-alarm fire breaks out at Queens residence: FDNY
JAMAICA, Queens (PIX11) -- Six people were injured after a three-alarm fire broke out at a two-story house in Queens Sunday morning.
The fire was reported around 10:51 a.m. at 116-50 146th Street.
33 units responded and were able to get the fire under control at around 12:08 p.m. Fire officials said the windy conditions caused the fire to spread to multiple sheds around the building.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials say an e-bike and propane tanks were found at the scene, but noted the propane tanks did not explode.
Three firefighters sustained minor injuries, officials said. Two civilians also sustained minor injuries, and another civilian was critically injured. They were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
