Yankee Candle fans rush to Asda as supermarket slashes prices to £1.50 & there are a number of scents to choose from
IF you love filling your home with Yankee candles but don’t love forking out a huge price tag, you may wish to pop to Asda.
A bargain hunter shared how the supermarket slashed the price of their Yankee products to just £1.50.
They showed how they walked away with a selection of candles from Asda and made a huge saving.
Posting on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, they wrote how they stocked up on three Yankee candles in a range of scents – down from £12.97 each.
This included their pink Sugared Blossom candle and their grey Cosy Up scent.
And that wasn’t all they snapped up.
They also picked up some EcoWix candles for a bargain 50p, which usually cost £8.
The discounted candles were found in Saint Austell, Cornwall, but people seemed keen to check their local Asda to see if they were reduced.
One person said: “We going straight to asda.”
Another added: “I want some.”
A third commented: “I’ll have a look.”
Meanwhile, one shopper lamented: “we never get bargains like these.”
Typically, Yankee Candles don’t come in cheap – with the biggest ones setting you back a whopping £31.99.
So it’s no wonder fans are often on the hunt to find discounts, with some saying Tesco reduced prices this month.
Fans of the scented classics shared how they were racing to their local supermarket to stock up on Yankees reduced to just £3 a pop.
And they aren’t even the rubbish Christmas leftovers you often see left on the shelf after the festive season ends.
Melanie shared a snap of the two she’d managed to nab in Tesco – creamy coconut and cosy cotton.
“Yankee candles £3 at Tesco (had loads!)” she wrote alongside the picture.
And other shoppers quickly took to the comments section to weigh in, with many admitting they were already planning a trip to their local supermarket on the hunt for the bargain buys.
“Which Tesco?” one person asked.
To which Melanie replied: “Eastbourne, but I presume it’s all stores that sell them.”
For those that can’t afford Yankee Candles regularly, there are more than a few knockoffs on the market.
One such dupe is the Sweet Blossom candle in Aldi, which is the store’s version of Yankee’s much-loved Sugared Blossom scent.
