'You okay with that?' Fox News host Sean Hannity prods Musk and Trump on $10M settlement
Fox News host Sean Hannity put President Donald Trump and Elon Musk on the spot about their feelings on a $10 million settlement the president received from Twitter, now X, now that its CEO is a staunch ally – and “special government employee.”
The moment happened at the start of Hannity’s sit-down interview with Trump and Musk, his Department of Government Efficiency head.
“So, he's working for free with DOGE,” Hannity said to Trump with Musk seated next to him. “He’s kind of put a lot of his life on hold, and you sued Twitter a number of years ago – you just made him pay you $10 million?”

Trump stared ahead stone-faced at the out-the-gate question during part one of Hannity’s interview with the pair as Musk can be seen reacting with awkward facial expressions.
“That's right, that’s right," Trump said. "I sued from long before he had it. And I mean, they really did a number on me, you know, and I sued and they had to pay, and they paid a $10 million settlement.”
“You ok with that?” Hannity asked, turning to Musk.
The tech billionaire responded by saying he “left it up to the lawyers and the team running Twitter.”
“I said you guys do what you think is the right thing that makes sense,” Musk told the Fox News host. That's when Trump jumped in to add that "he was looking to get much more money than that."
"So you gave him a discount," Hannity said with a laugh.
