Pine Prairie ICE Processing Center officer accused of possession of drugs in the facility

PINE PRAIRIE, La. (KLFY) -- A corrections officer with the Pine Prairie ICE Processing Center has been arrested on drug charges, authorities said.
John Dix, 35, is charged with possession with intent to distribute meth, possession with intent to distribute MDMA, possession of Suboxone and possession of contraband in a penal institution.
Suboxone is a prescription drug used to treat opiate addiction.
Officials said the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office was contacted Jan. 30 by Warden Bryan Patterson of Pine Prairie ICE Processing Center, who said he was notified of a correctional officer who had narcotics in his possession while on duty.
When agents contacted Dix, they searched his person and found nine MDMA pills, five pills identified as Suboxone, 7.25 grams of meth and a glass meth pipe.
Two glass meth pipes were also found in a search of Dix's vehicle in the facility's parking lot, as were a black jacket and green gloves which resembled the clothing worn by the person who burglarized Fuselier's Pharmacy on Jan. 20, officials said.
Dix was booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail. Bond details were not released.
