AEW Star Dustin Rhodes talks career and Dynamite in Austin
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Wrestling and the Rhodes family have gone hand in hand for generations and as All Elite Wrestling returns to Austin this week at HEB Center at Cedar Park Tuesday February 11th, AEW Star Dustin Rhodes reflects on his journey to this point.
"In 37 years I've wrestled just about everybody that has been in the business. It's truly amazing, I'm very blessed to continue and be in shape at 55, almost 56 years old."
Dustin, part of the Rhodes dynasty including his father the late, great Dusty Rhodes, joined All Elite Wrestling as the company was kicking off its TV deal. Since then, Rhodes has proven time and again he's giving his all until the very end of his in-ring career.
"I'm having fun and it's great to be with these younger kids. Is there anything left to prove? Absolutely! I still want to be world champion and I'm going to do my best within the next three years to finally win a world title."
AEW: Dynamite makes its stop in Austin ahead of this Saturdays AEW Grand Slam Australia. Dustin Rhodes will go head to head with Maxwell Jacob Friedman after a heated exchange on last weeks show.
Texas will also see AEW: All Texas on July 12 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
"It's going to be the biggest show to date," Rhodes said. "The one thing we do better than anybody in the world is put on pay-per-views and All In is going to be no exception."
All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite kicks off at 7pm at HEB Center in Cedar Park. For more information on tickets and prices for the event, visit AEWTix.com.
