Yet if the third phase of the Tiffany Titan Collection — the latest creative endeavour of multi-hyphenate Pharrell Williams — is any indication, that’s about to change. Lighting up a flurry of accessories, Tiffany diamonds grace each adornment with an almost electric glow, commanding attention from across the room. Thanks to a sleek new technique, dubbed the Titan Setting, there’s no need for prongs and bezels. Instead, each diamond rests atop a Floeting® platform, regal and radiant. Gemstones seem to levitate over classic metal designs, shining in a true solo performance.
Pearls feature prominently too, of course. As jewellery aficionados will remember, Pharrell played with freshwater pearl designs during the second instalment of the Tiffany Titan Collection. For the third act, the artist builds oceanic designs with sultry Tahitian pearls; compared to their freshwater cousins, they’re moodier, darker, and — dare we say — bolder. The Tahitian pearls have an eye-catching lustre about them. As a whole, the collection offers iterations for virtually every occasion, from earrings to pendants to bracelets.
Mesmerizing motifs feature elegant, spear-shaped points and sparkling diamond stripes. Certain pieces evoke ancient saltwater symbols, including subtle spikes forged in the image of Poseidon’s Trident — a classic insignia of the Greek god. From rose gold to titanium, each material embodies the ‘Titan’ moniker to its core; every piece exudes beauty and boldness.
