BUSINESS
Marin company picked
for U.S. trade mission
A San Rafael-based company will join a trade mission to Thailand from Feb. 3 to 6, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
PacRim Wine & Spirits is one of 38 companies participating in the trip to increase American exports to the country, the department announced Monday. The delegation also will include a USDA administrator and state agriculture officials from Idaho, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
“In 2023, the United States exported $1.2 billion in agricultural products to Thailand, making it the country’s fifth-largest supplier,” the USDA said. “While bulk commodities dominate current exports, Thailand’s expanding middle class and growing demand for imported goods create strong opportunities for U.S. consumer-oriented products.”
PacRim Wine & Spirits was incorporated in 1999, according to the California Secretary of State’s Office.
