Nicole Scherzinger Hits ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ in Pink D&G Bustier Dress & Gianvito Rossi’s Portofino Sandals
Nicole Scherzinger paid a visit to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in New York City on Monday. The former Pussycat Girls lead singer was there to perform “As If We Never Said Goodbye,” an emotional song from the Broadway musical “Sunset Boulevard.”
Scherzinger — who picked up an Olivier Award for her Broadway debut last year — was spotted leaving the Ed Sullivan Theater in a pink satin Dolce & Gabbana dress and black Gianvito Rossi sandals. The actress draped a baby blue coat over her shoulders but left it unbuttoned to show off the bustier-style mini dress.
Selecting sandals despite the winter weather, she reached for Gianvito Rossi’s signature Portofino silhouette. The style has been a staple for celebrities since its launch just over a decade ago. Last year, the luxury brand marked the sandal’s 10th anniversary with a limited-edition capsule of colorful metallic iterations.
“The Portofino sandal embodies the essence of my vision: beauty in simplicity and quality, as well as in the attention to proportions. Its design is conceived to enhance a woman’s silhouette rather than prevail over her,” said Rossi. “After 10 years, our customers keep looking for it: I like to think that its lines have somehow got out of time to stay, becoming a cherished object women can always have within reach in their wardrobe.”
Scherzinger tied her head-turning look together effortlessly with a pink patent handbag and a smattering of jewelry that included diamond hoop earrings, a matching tennis necklace, and diamond and gold rings on multiple fingers.
On days off, the performer has been known to wear chunky Gucci combat boots, Valentino wedge sandals, and Fila platform sneakers. She’s also been seen in tie-dye Crocs, Nike’s Air Zoom Pegasus, and Steve Madden thigh-high boots.
