Fraud and larceny investigation leads to three arrests in Saratoga County
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Three women are accused of stealing debit card information from residents at the Capital District Development Disabilities Services Office, 902 Main Street in Clifton Park. Lashea Pettway, 30, of Schenectady, Jessie Gabriel, 34, of Schenectady, and Christin McGrath, 45, of Selkirk, face multiple grand larceny charges.
On November 20, 2024, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office began investigating an inactive larceny at the Capital District Development Disabilities Services Office. An investigation into the complaint determined the three women were allegedly using debit card information from residents for their own use.
According to deputies, Gabriel and McGrath allegedly used the debit card information to buy food on various occasions and used another person's identity to do so. Deputies said Gabriel stole from three different residents to buy food 12 different times and McGrath stole from two different residents.
Pettway Charges:
- Four counts of Grand Larceny in the fourth-degree, class E felonies
Gabriel Charges:
- Three counts of Grand Larceny in the fourth-degree, class E felonies
- 12 Counts of Petit Larceny
- Three counts of Identity Theft in the third-degree, class A misdemeanors
McGrath Charges:
- Two counts of Grand Larceny in the fourth-degree, class E felonies
- Petit Larceny
- Identity Theft in the third-degree, class A misdemeanors
According to the Sheriff's Office, all three were released with appearance tickets after processing.
