Tottenham ‘pushing’ to get priority transfer signing done in next seven days
Tottenham Hotspur have identified their top transfer priority ahead of the final week of the transfer window and are expected to have a busy few days.
The lack of new signings is a major concern for Spurs
With just a week left until the window slams shut, Tottenham have only signed one player so far this month, goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.
Spurs fans are getting increasingly concerned about the situation and Ange Postecoglou himself remarked that the club are ‘playing with fire’ by leaving things so late, admitting that the squad is in desperate need of help.
It has now been reported that the Lilywhites‘ business is far from done, with the club particularly focused on strengthening one area.
Tottenham identify top priority signing
This update comes from Football Insider, who claim that Spurs are prioritising bringing a forward through the door before the February 3 deadline.
Despite Tottenham’s injuries at the back and their defensive issues, a versatile forward, who can play across the front three, is seen as a bigger priority than a defender.
The outlet explains that Postecoglou believes that Dominic Solanke needs support, which is why the club are now ‘continuing to push’ to sign a striker despite missing out on Randal Kolo Muani.
Spurs expecting a busy end to the January window
Football Insider suggest the final few days of the transfer window are expected to be busy for Spurs, with the club wanting at least two new players to come through the door.
A new centre-back is also on Tottenham’s wishlist as Postecoglou‘s men want to add more depth at the heart of their backline.
The publication adds that Spurs’ recruitment team are now working hard to get new signings through the door, with a final shortlist now having been drawn up.
