He was giving a stern reprimand from bosses and is now on his final warning after a series of questionable moments.
Taking to the stage at Glasgow‘s Hydro last night – a day after withdrawing from the previous night’s show due to injury – the GoCompare advert star told the audience he had “not had the best day.”
Audience members weren’t impressed by the events that led up to the show, with Laura Anne Goldie, 44, from Glasgow, telling the Mail: “We’re disgusted he’s said something like that. It’s completely inappropriate.
“It’ll make me feel completely different watching him this evening. It’s very ungentlemanly, I would say, and totally inappropriate. Has he got a daughter? I don’t know.”
While Nicola Atkinson, 38, from Cambuslang, told the publication: “I would have taken him off stage for that. It’s their reputation. It’s not his reputation. It’s their reputation at stake.”
Wynne gave Janette, 41 – who was a former BBC One show professional until 2021 – a side eye before bursting into a fit of giggles.
His eyebrows were raised as he delivered the crude remark, which is said to have left the BBC anchor “hanging onto” his day-job.
The BBC Wales presenter was heard suggesting a threesome with mum-of-one Janette, using the derogatory term “spit roast.”
An image showed Wynne, wearing a blue top, glancing over his right shoulder at Janette, who can be seen standing next to him gazing at the floor.
He has since issued an apology, calling his language “inappropriate and unacceptable.”
BBC and Strictly Live producers said: “We have made it clear to Wynne we do not tolerate such behaviour on tour.”
Janette’s spokeswoman said she had been “unaware of this comment.”
Wynne brushed off the scandal by singing on stage – despite being unable to dance.
He shared images of his bruised ankle on Instagram and said: “Ankle’s getting a bit better, it was great to be able to sing in Glasgow tonight, even if I couldn’t dance, hopefully back tomorrow.
“But watch this space, I’ll let you know in the morning. See how the swelling goes down, and all that kind of stuff, thanks for all the lovely messages, amazing.”
WYNNE’S WOES
Dad-of-two Wynne is no stranger to a TV scandal.
Wynne previously came under fire in last year’s Strictly series when he was seen groping his dance partner Katya Jones, but they dismissed it as a joke.

‘Grope’
Wynne encountered a backlash after his Strictly pro partner Katya was filmed removing his hand from her waist.
Fans insisted she looked uncomfortable as she moved it away – but Katya later insisted there was no problem.
In joke
They then sparked further fury, when she was seen refusing to high-five the Opera singer.
The duo were quick to issue a video apology and insisted it was all an innocent “inside joke”.
Crude joke
Wynne came under fire for allegedly telling a “crude” joke to one of the show’s make-up artists.
Insiders claim the opera star made a joke that the folds of his double chin “looked like a vagina”.
A source said: “It was a bit of a vulgar dad joke.”
Vile comment
Wynne was recorded suggesting a three-way sex session with presenter Janette Manrara, using the term “spit roast”.
His remark came at a photocall to launch the Strictly live tour, which pro Janette, 41, is hosting.
He reportedly pulled a suggestive face at actor Jamie Borthwick as Janette moved between them — which is when Evans allegedly made the joke.
Wynne has apologised saying: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.”
He then told how he had been left “heartbroken” over the backlash, which came when he was seen with his hand around professional partner Katya‘s waist.
She was also seen refusing to high-five the singer – sparking rumours of a fall-out.
The duo were quick to issue a video apology and insisted it was all an innocent “inside joke.”
Despite fans demanding the pair clarify exactly what “the joke” was, the pair did not elaborate further.
He was then accused of making another distasteful remark towards a make-up artist on the long-running reality show.
