Lin-Manuel Miranda Reprises 'Hamilton' Role, is Interrupted by 'Donald Trump' During 'SNL' Cold Open
Lin-Manuel Miranda reprised his iconic Hamilton role on Saturday Night Live, but his performance was interrupted by Donald Trump.
The 45-year-old actor and playwright appeared as Alexander Hamilton on the January 25 episode of the popular late-night show during the cold open. His attempt to unite the nation with the power of music was offset by James Austin Johnson‘s impression of Donald, who officially returned to office this week.

“We will have leaders, but know one thing / In America we will never have a king,” he sang before Donald entered the stage, declaring that he was “in [his] king era” and prepared to make a new version of America.
James joked about Donald‘s return to the White House, describing Melania Trump as a surprise guest and referencing the placement of billionaires in the front row of his big ceremony.
