Louisiana confirms 2 winter weather-related deaths after snowstorm

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- The Louisiana Department of Health confirmed two winter weather-related deaths Friday afternoon after a winter storm this week.
According to officials, hypothermia contributed to an 85-year-old Pointe Coupee Parish man's death, and a 60-year-old Orleans Parish woman was killed in a fire caused by a space heater.
Two weeks ago, state health officials reported that a 65-year-old Rapides Parish man died of hypothermia.
All three deaths were winter weather-related.
