Seven Warriors scored in double figures, showcasing a well-rounded team effort. The bench was especially electric, contributing a staggering 83 points, highlighted by the performances of rookie Quinten Post and second-year forward Gui Santos. Meanwhile, the Lakers are riding high after a dominant 117-96 victory over the Boston Celtics on Thursday. With wins in four of their last five games, Los Angeles enters tonight’s matchup with a record of 24-18, good enough for fifth place in the Western Conference standings.
The last meeting between the Warriors and Lakers delivered another classic showdown between Stephen Curry and LeBron James. While the thrilling back-and-forth game on Christmas Day resulted in a 115-113 Golden State loss, Curry and James put on a show, leading their teams with 38 and 31 points, respectively. Fans should expect more fireworks tonight as the two NBA icons lead their franchises in yet another high-profile matchup.
