Man arrested in Alma after threatening to shoot staff
ALMA (KSNT) - A Lawrence man was arrested in Alma after allegedly threatening to shoot staff at The Plaza of the Flint Hills.
Wabaunsee County sheriff's deputies were called at 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 24 to The Plaza of the Flint Hills in Alma for reports of a criminal threat with a firearm. Mutual aid from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Wamego Police and St. Mary's Police Department was requested.
Law enforcement found the suspect's vehicle at a truck stop in Maple Hill. Law enforcement was able to take a 48-year-old man from Lawrence into custody. He was booked into the Wabaunsee County Jail on charges of:
- Criminal Threat; cause terror; evacuation or disruption.
- Improper vehicle registration.
- Operating a vehicle without a registration or with an expired tag.
