Tyler Roberts Makes Permanent Switch
AFC Fylde are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of winger Tyler Roberts who joins from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 21-year-old, who joined on loan from Wolves at the beginning of the season, makes the permanent switch to Mill Farm on a deal until 2026.
Since arriving at Mill Farm, Roberts has scored twice in Fylde colours, notching a goal against Yeovil Town before opening the scoring in Kevin Phillips’ first home win as Coasters boss against Gateshead.
A product of the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy, the Jamaican had worked his way through the club’s system and earned EFL experience whilst on loan at Sky Bet League Two side Doncaster Rovers last year.
During his time in Yorkshire, Roberts featured in 15 games and gained valuable experience as Rovers made a late surge for the League Two play-offs.
He has already made 16 appearances in a Fylde shirt including ten starts.
Speaking on making the move a permanent one, Roberts said: “I’m really excited about the move. I’ve loved my time here so far and I’m excited to carry on.
“I feel like I’ve gained confidence and got better as the season’s gone on so I’m really excited to kick start my career now.”
