Congratulations Star League on a great Fall 2024 season!
BIG shoutout to our Star League teams who recently completed their Fall season!
Star League is our intramural recreationally-competitive team that focuses on developing teamwork, learning routines and participating in friendly competition with other SGA locations. Divided into three divisions of increasing difficulty (Single A, Double A, Triple A), gymnasts in Star League each compete routines on the four events (vault, bars, beam and floor), with their scores contributing to the final team score.
Our teams just completed a fantastic Fall season, and our Coaches are here to give big kudos!
BALLARD:
Coach Julian: “Our Star League 2024 Fall season recently came to a close. It was a great season as we welcomed new gymnast and coaches to the Star League family. Despite the high level of competition across the different SGA locations, multiple Ballard teams paved their way to the championships. Ballard won the Single A and Double AA championship title! We love sharing the joy of competitive gymnastics with gymnasts of all levels. Onto the 2025 Spring season!”

BURIEN:
Coach Nikita: “It was another exciting competition season for Burien! We had new gymnasts and coaches join the Star League crew this season! Its been exciting to watching Burien Star League grow. We saw a lot of new skills performed and a lot of high scores were handed out. Almost half of our teams qualified to the Championship meet which was fun because Burien got to host it for the first time! Great job gymnasts and coaches! Looking forward to the 2025 season!”

COLUMBIA CITY:
Coach Sarah: “We had a great Fall 2024 season. For many athletes, it was their first time ever competing, and they had a blast. I’m so proud of all the gymnasts for overcoming jitters and the unknowns of what to expect.
For Single A, Vault and Bars were our greatest strengths The gymnasts are all super strong and showed great control in their dismounts on bars. Many judges complimented the girls on their forward roll to tuck hang.
For Double A, I am so proud of the girls progression on Vault. By the last meet, everyone performed the handstand flat fall over the table, which was a huge accomplishment!
I can’t wait for the offseason and to continue to work on skills and level up skills! Way to go Teams!”
Coach Lindsey: “This season was fantastic! At many of the meets, particularly in the latter stages, all of our gymnasts achieved some personal best event high scores. We can’t wait to watch gymnasts progress, welcome eager newcomers, and prepare for new routines next season!”
Coach Jazzy: “Yay! Star League Fall ’24 was amazing! It went by so quickly. I’m incredibly proud of our team. We may be small in numbers but we’re big at heart. For all but one, it was their first time competing. Our best events were bars and vault. This team is packed with a lot of power and strength. I enjoy watching them grow confident in the other events. We can’t wait for next season.”
Coach Thien-Ha: “Fall 2024 was not only a fantastic season but a memorable one as well, because it was my first season coaching it! We had a small but mighty team of two girls and their exhibition meet in Burien was incredible. The girls were a bit nervous to start but shook off their nerves, went out there and did amazing! It was the girl’s first time competing and managed to learn a new floor routine not too long before their first meet. Their strongest event is beam and bars! The girls are excited to keep working hard to prepare for their next season!”

LAKE CITY:
Coach Misa: “What a great season! At our first meet of the year, gymnasts fought thru some nerves but did a great job remembering all of their routines and really showed off what we have been working so hard on. At our second meet, we had some first time skills competed and made some big improvements from meet one! At meet 3, we had some personal highs and qualified Lake City’s AAA team to Championships, and at Championships, we had some first time skills, high scores, and just all around fun at the meet! Way to go!”
Coach Kayla: “The gymnasts did a great job showing off their routines that they worked so hard on all season long. I’m so proud of them!”

This is Mill Creek’s first ever Star League team! This last Fall, the team participated in an exhibition only while they get their footing, with the goal of competing with our other SGA location’s Star League Teams in our friendly intramural competitions during the Spring season (coming up soon!)! Coach Rick, and all of us, are so super proud of you, team! You will always hold a place in SGA Mill Creek history, and we can’t wait to see what you do next season! Shine bright!!
