BBC Dragons’ Den contestant found dead in woodland as pals share heartbreaking tributes to ‘kind man’
A DRAGONS’ Den contestant was found dead in a woodland area, an inquest heard.
Graeme Turner, 53, was found dead on October 1 in Pwllheli, North Wales, it was heard.
He pitched his children’s customisable wallpaper kit to investors on the hit BBC show.
The graphic designer looked for a sum of £50,000 for five per cent in his firm, but judges walked away from the opportunity.
His wallpaper kit allowed parents to transform their kids’ rooms into their favourite football stadium.
Graeme appeared on the show in 2010 and ended up continuing his business without the financial support of the judges.
Coroner Kate Robertson gave a verdict of suicide in the hearing on Monday.
Graeme’s funeral took place on January 16.
His son shared a heartfelt post on Facebook, writing: “I have just lost the best, strongest, kindest, most loyal, courageous dad I have ever had and known, he was the godfather the inspiration in my life.
“I am devastated and that is an understatement.”
Pals of Graeme described him as “a kind man” who was the “life and soul of the party”.
People took to social media to share heartfelt tributes for their friend.
One added: “A great man and I had the privilege to be in his company on many occasions in my time.”
Another user said: “Very sad news, Graeme was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed by all Condolences to Graeme family and friends.”
You're Not Alone
EVERY 90 minutes in the UK a life is lost to suicide
It doesn’t discriminate, touching the lives of people in every corner of society – from the homeless and unemployed to builders and doctors, reality stars and footballers.
It’s the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, more deadly than cancer and car crashes.
And men are three times more likely to take their own life than women.
Yet it’s rarely spoken of, a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and take notice, now.
That is why The Sun launched the You’re Not Alone campaign.
The aim is that by sharing practical advice, raising awareness and breaking down the barriers people face when talking about their mental health, we can all do our bit to help save lives.
Let’s all vow to ask for help when we need it, and listen out for others… You’re Not Alone.
