Steph McGovern in horrifying accident on Netflix set as she’s rushed to doctors & Holly Willoughby fights back tears
STEPH McGovern was rushed to medics on the set of Netflix’s Bear Hunt after swinging face-first into a cliff during a challenge.
The broadcaster, 42, almost broke her nose in the shock incident and it was feared she was also slightly concussed.

The star’s painful face-plant happened while she was high up a cliff face during a challenge for Bear Grylls‘ new survival show.
Host Holly Willoughby even found herself holding back tears and concerns about whether Steph would be able to continue were raised.
After 24 hours, Steph was deemed fit to continue but she can be seen in the show’s trailer with a plaster across her nose.
A source tells The Sun: “Not only was it terrifying for Steph, but for everyone watching – cast, crew and Holly included.
“Holly was visibly shaken and close to tears, and at one point could be seen covering her face with her hands.
It was touch and go about whether Steph would have to leave on medical grounds, so she was monitored for the next 24 hours.
“But Steph is a trooper – she was determined to stay and luckily for her, she was given the green light to continue.”
Steph and Holly’s reps have been contacted for comment. Netflix has also been approached by The Sun.
The big budget Bear Hunt series will see survivalist Bear track down famous faces in the Costa Rican jungle.
The show will premiere on Netflix on February 5 and aims to test the celebs’ wills to survive in a daring game of cat and mouse.
Fans are in for a treat, as the famous faces have definitely had a bumpy ride while filming it.
Earlier this week, it was reported that contestant and interior designer Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen almost drowned as he leaped from a boat and into the water.
The Changing Rooms legend, 59, became tangled in a bungee cord that nearly cost him his life as he battled to free himself before passing out.
A source told the Mail: “Laurence was very shaken as was everyone. He said that he thought he was a goner.
“It was a very serious situation and at the time we thought that maybe Netflix wouldn’t show what happened because it was that bad, but now it looks as if it will be in the programme.”
There was big drama behind the scenes as well as during filming.

We previously revealed how rugby ace Danny Cipriani came close to quitting Bear Hunt over the “special treatment” he believed host Holly was receiving.
Danny, 37, has recently embarked on a spiritual journey and an insider explained “he’s all about things being fair and equal”.
The insider said: “Danny seemed to think host Holly was getting special treatment and every decision was being made around her comfort.
“That’s to be expected for a host – after all, they have to film when she’s available and she’s the star of the show – but it really didn’t sit right with Danny – he’s been pretty open about his spiritual journey as of late and he’s all about things being fair and equal.”
The Sun contacted Netflix for comment.
