Ron Hall’s best pal Tanyel defends his romance with Kaz & reveals ‘real reason’ he picked her
RON Hall’s best pal Tanyel Revan has defended his romance with Kaz Crossley – but admitted there is one ex Islander that could “turn his head”.
Tanyel, who appeared on series eight in 2023 alongside Ron, has hit back at fans saying that Ron took the easy option when he picked Kaz at the recoupling and said their connection is “genuine”.
The podcast host, 28, said there are a number qualities that Kaz has that would have attracted Ron to her – saying: “Ron could see the most beautiful girl and it could turn his head, but if he knows her personality is a piece of s***, he would never want to know her.”
Tanyel also took a swipe at Towie star Elma Pazar and Ronnie Vint for “picking on” Ron following their explosive argument this week.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Tanyel said: “It’s early days but why I think it’s genuine and why I think Ron went for Kaz, is because on the outside world she does a lot of nice things for people – like charity, shaving her hair.
“She’s obviously not a bad person, no one bad does all those good things for people on the outside.
“She doesn’t have to do that, she’s done a lot of good things and she’s got a good heart – I think that’s what’s attracted him.
“Ron could see the most beautiful girl and it could turn his head, but if he knows her personality is a piece of s***, he would never want to know her.
“He mentioned on the show that he told her life and I think that’s what would have drawn him to her and how she is a good caring person and that she wants to do things for people. He would really like her for that.
“I don’t know if it will last, they might move in different directions, it might just be friendship, it’s such early days – but I know he’s fond of her and I know he’s not picked her for the sake of it.
“I’m glad that he stuck up for her as well, it just shows how loyal he is.
“She’s got all these character traits about her, she’s quite genuine, he would have gone for her. Ron could have gone for all the drama but he’s not bothered about that now.”
Ron left the villa in 2023 with blonde stunner Lana Jenkins, but the pair split just three months after the show.
Tanyel admitted she’d love for her “two best friends to get back together” – saying if Lana was an All Stars bombshell, it would “confuse” former financial advisor Ron.
Tanyel told us: “I think the only person that would turn his head is if Lana goes in.
“I hope she would but I don’t know. That would bring him a lot of confusion.
“It’s not that the door is left open, I don’t think they’ve ever properly had closure or spoken about the situation. It was just left.
“I feel if she went back in, they’d have a conversation. I don’t know if that would happen, but I would love to see it.
“I think Lana’s fine with the situation but I think it would put a lot of questions in Ron’s head.
“I feel like he’s going to turn his head a few times and he deserves to, he’s only just got in there and he has to get to know people.
“I personally feel that Kaz is lovely for him, if Lana was to go in, would I want him to turn his head – obviously. My dream would be for two of my best friends to be back together.”
Opening up about why they split, Tanyel shared: “It didn’t end of bad terms but they met on a show and everything is so hard to keep up with after and the distance between them.
“It is hard to keep these things going. They had so much work after the show, these things get in the way. They never had that final talk.
“I really think he’s going to do well and get to the final hopefully.
“He wants to get married and settle down and want what all women want.
“But instead they’re going for all the f*** boys in there, like Casey who is useless. Why would you not just got for someone as Ron?”

Earlier this week, Ron came under fire by Elma Pazar and Ronnie Vint after he told the Towie star that she overreacted when Ronnie kissed Kaz in the secret garden on day three.
Tanyel said: “It’s so frustrating seeing your best friend get picked on, it was so stupid and blown out of proportion.
“Originally I wanted Ron to pick Elma because she was giving off a good vibe in the beginning but now I’m so happy he did not pick her.
“I don’t know how he went in and said what he said and it got twisted so much by her and Ronnie, it’s completely ridiculous.
“It was so unfair and they picked on him.
“I think for Ronnie to even say ‘Ron’s jealous because he’s got the full name’, has he seen the face on him.
“Are you taking the f****** p***, I think Ron is gorgeous, he’s handsome and any guy would go for him.
“I just think Ronnie felt intimidated. If anything Ronnie should have been happy with what Ron said, as it would have helped him out.
“I don’t understand how Ronnie could have been annoyed at him, it’s not normal.”
Despite Ron apologising to Ronnie and Elma, Tanyel insists that he’s only just warming up and won’t be afraid to speak the truth.
She said: “With Ron, he might bit his tongue at the beginning to not upset someone, but when he gets a bit more comfortable, he will say how it is. He’s one of the realist people. Ron is always the one saying what everyone is thinking.
“He really didn’t need to be that apologetic, he felt like everyone was leaning onto him and suffocating him, so he probably second guessed himself and thought he had to apologise.
“I didn’t like that, I thought it was really mean.”
Tanyel thinks Elma will get a wake up call tonight, after fans watched Ronnie confess his feelings to ex Harriett after her All Stars return.
“Elma and Harriett are gonna beef, 100 per cent,” Tanyel predicted.
“Ronnie will have his head turned and I think Harriett will be all over Ronnie. It will show Elma that maybe instead of focusing on everyone else and their problems, she should have maybe focused on how s*** he is.”
Tanyel pointed out: “Elma’s been too much lately, she’s really going to ruin it for herself.
“It’s sad because she really comes across as a nice girl, but she’s really going to ruin it for herself and that’s why she ended up in the bottom two.
“She’s really messed it up for herself, if she carries on that way, they’re really not going to like her.
“Elma’s going to regret what she’s done, I feel like she needs to get off Ronnie’s back. If someone in there didn’t want me, I wouldn’t want them – I wouldn’t keep going for them and telling them off every five seconds.
“He’s not going to be able to stand her. I’m so glad Ron didn’t have any interest in Elma, at the beginning I wanted them to work but he didn’t really seem keen on her and now I understand why, Ron would never want drama in his life like that. I’m glad he didn’t go for her, otherwise he would have been in some drama trio.
“Elma’s telling Ronnie that he can’t fancy anyone else – it’s mad!
“She’s scaring the man away, she’s too much. She gets so angry.
“She said that she’ll forgive and go back there. It’s not making it look good for herself. Anyone else in that situation would have told him to f*** off, but she hasn’t. You’re getting angry at everyone else but your forgiving him, so you can’t really get angry at everyone else.”
Tanyel thinks another couple won’t stand a chance on the outside.
Love Island fans have claimed Curtis Pritchard and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu have been playing a clever “game” to get to the final.
And Tanyel agrees saying they are a pair of “actors” and are faking the whole thing for the a career boost.
She said: “The best way to say this, is they’re two actors. They’re faking it. I’m sorry but Curtis would give me the ick. I think she’s just good at acting. I personally think she knows what she’s doing. I don’t think she’s gone on there for the right reasons.
“She went on Big Brother and told everyone she didn’t want to be known for Love Island and put Love Island down 24/7 on that show, that’s why she got so much hate when she went in and contradicted what she said – it doesn’t weigh up.
“I’m assuming the producers tried to convince her to come on, she probably thought I could make myself look better again, obviously because she didn’t have the best experience on Big Brother.
“She’s trying to be the mother of the villa.”
Tanyel pointed out Curtis’ big slip-up when he admitted things were “moving too fast” but then agreed to “close things off” with Ekin within 24 hours.
She said: “I think he realised it was too much, but then has to keep acting. She doesn’t care if he’s got the ick, because she doesn’t want him anyway, she’s not going to lock it off on the outside.
She added: “No one’s personality can change that many times on three different shows, it doesn’t make sense.”
