Vipers Welcome Dean McAmmond To Coaching Staff
Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are thrilled to announce the addition of former NHL player Dean McAmmond as the team’s new Assistant Coach. McAmmond, who played over 1,000 games in the NHL, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Vipers.
“I am really excited about adding Dean to our staff,” said Lukas Lomicky, Head Coach of the Vernon Vipers. “He is, first and foremost, a first-class person. We are gaining someone who has played over 1,000 games in the NHL, and the experience that comes along with that is invaluable. He will provide our players and staff with the best tools to improve both individually and as a team. I can’t wait to continue working with Dean to help us in our push for the playoffs.”
McAmmond, a native of Grande Cache, Alberta, brings not only his extensive playing career but also coaching experience. He served as both an assistant and head coach with the North Okanagan Knights from 2018 to 2020.
“I’m really looking forward to joining the Vipers organization,” said McAmmond. “I’ve enjoyed watching the team over the years and always felt it would be special to participate in an active role with the club.”
In addition to his coaching duties, McAmmond will play an active role in the Chapel Program alongside Team Pastor Dave Hockley.
Please join us in welcoming Dean and his family to the Vernon Vipers organization.
