Julia Fox Showcases Outrageously Pointy Pumps & Bag Adorned with a Ballet Flat While Promoting ‘Presence’ in NYC
Julia Fox has been busy doing press for her new psychological thriller film “Presence” of late, and true to form, she’s been serving some bold looks while doing so.
The “Uncut Gems” actress was seen in a vampy, all-black ensemble as she arrived at the Bravo studios in New York City on Tuesday. Heading to a taping of “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” paparazzi caught Fox wearing a cropped black puffer jacket over a leather corset with a long, button-front bodycon skirt featuring a sultry slit. A pair of ultra-pointy black pumps set on sharp stiletto heels complemented the head-turning look effortlessly.
The style’s upper appeared to be made of smooth leather or a leather-like material while the heel looked to be about 4 inches tall. While similar to Balenciaga’s best-selling “Knife” pumps, Fox’s shoes had beige soles. They simply couldn’t be from the edgy luxury fashion house, because Knife pumps are known to have black soles.
The heels she wore also appeared to have a slightly more exaggerated pointed toe than that of Balenciaga’s Knife pump. Celebrities love the sharpened iteration of the classic pump. Kerry Washington and Nicole Kidman both hit the red carpet in versions of the silhouette at the Golden Globes earlier this month (Jan. 5).
Known for pushing boundaries when it comes to fashion, Fox also carried an eye-catching handbag embellished with a ballet flat on the front. The avant-garde accessory featured a minimalist ’90s design with a black leather exterior, a zipper closure, and a single handle. All that made the medium-sized bag stand out was the strappy, ballerina-inspired flat stitched to it, which created an utterly unique piece.
On the same day, the “No Sudden Move” actress stopped by “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in a completely different outfit. For the sitdown with Meyers, she slipped into a royal blue sleeveless halter neck polo top paired with tight white briefs and a fluffy white coat on top.
As for shoes, Fox slipped into white-lace-up boots featuring ice skate heels from Dsquared2’s fall/winter 2011 show. The vintage style made for a major statement, something the model embraces frequently. Further adding to the playfulness of her getup, she also showed off a white studded Chopova Lowena x Hellman’s bag. The kitschy bag is designed with straps to hold a bottle of mayo, as well as a Victorian silver spoon.
