Woman, 70, and her daughter attacked after car crash in Manhattan: NYPD
MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 70-year-old woman and her daughter were attacked after they were in a car crash in Manhattan on Dec. 15, according to the NYPD.
The victims’ car collided with the suspects’ car near East 42nd Street and Madison Avenue around 1:30 a.m., police said. The suspects, a woman who was driving and a man in the passenger seat, are accused of getting into an argument with the victims over exchanging insurance information, according to authorities.
That’s when the woman driver attacked the 70-year-old woman and her 34-year-old daughter, police said. The 70-year-old woman was hit in the face and her 34-year-old daughter’s hair was pulled and her cellphone was stolen, according to authorities.
The woman driver then allegedly fled the scene in her car, police said. She was later arrested.
Police are still searching for the man who sat in the suspect car's passenger seat at the time of the crash. He's accused of running from the scene with the daughter's cellphone, according to authorities.
