ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Happy Wednesday! Meteorologist Kevin Appleby says this Wednesday will be frigid with highs in the low-to-mid teens this afternoon.

Governor Kathy Hochul presented New York’s fiscal year 2026 Executive Budget on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
2. Speed limits are dropping in some major Capital Region cities
In the new year new speed limits are being set for some major local cities. “At first, I was a little annoyed. Now I’m totally used to it, and I think it’s a good thing,” said Albany resident, Siobhan Treacy.
3. Where to find warming centers in the Capital Region
As temperatures dip into the single digits, Capital Region counties are opening up their warming centers and overnight shelters to accommodate those in need.
4. Local company advises on propane deliveries during cold
Many rural areas rely on propane for heat, hot water and cooking. Following a story about a customer feeling like they were left out in the cold on Tuesday, NEWS10 spoke to a local gas delivery company about best practices to avoid delivery delays.
5. Troy restaurant forced to close ballroom after recent shooting
A restaurant in Troy must shut down its ballroom space after the city found numerous violations and recent violence. According to the city, The Grill Mediterranean Cuisine and Megan Istanbul Food Court just opened two years ago but did not have the correct permit to be operating the way it was.
