American Red Cross opens shelter in Watervliet after fire
WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The American Red Cross has opened a shelter in Watervliet following a fire at the Highland Club Apartments. The fire displaced about 20 people.
Fire officials say the fire began on Tuesday night around 6 p.m. The shelter is at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at 2416 Seventh Avenue and the Red Cross says it will remain available to help those impacted by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
