Coronation Street resident rushed to hospital and couple split up after baby bombshell rocks Weatherfield
DRAMATIC Coronation Street scenes saw a Weatherfield resident rushed to hospital – as a baby bombshell rocked the community.
Viewers know Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) is pregnant – but remain in the dark to the father’s identity.
The baby could either be Kit Green’s (Jacob Roberts) or Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard).
Today’s (January 22) episode saw Daniel and fiancee Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) planning a new start in London.
Unfortunately for them, Daisy decided to make a big move during a pub quiz at the Rover’s Return.
Taking control of the mic, she mockingly posed a question to those in attendance.
The barmaid asked: “Question – if Daisy is pregnant but there are two men that she’s slept with, who is the father of her baby?
“It’s a multiple choice. Is it a) Kit Green or b) Daniel Osbourne.”
Bethany and her mum Sarah (Tina O’Brien) were both left furious with Daniel and stormed out of the pub.
As Sarah comforted her daughter, she reassured Bethany that her life would be better off without Daniel.
Kit also had choice words for Daisy, saying he wants nothing to do with her.
Later on, Jenny (Sally-Ann Matthews) brought Daisy to hospital, having been suffering with stomach cramps.
Kit turned up at the hospital too, joining Daisy and Jenny for an ultrasound.
Fortunately, the baby turned out to be fine – with what Daisy experienced being normal.
A concerned Daniel later checked in at the Rovers to make all was okay.
As he and Daisy spoke, Bethany arrived – and didn’t hold back in her anger towards Daniel.

Shelley/Peter/Lucy: Peter Barlow took the concept of a love triangle and ran with it in Coronation Street – extending it to bigamy.
He was in a relationship with Shelley Unwin but started dating Lucy Richards, and quickly married her after she fell pregnant with his son, Simon.
But it didn’t stop him also marrying Shelley, but he was eventually caught when Lucy turned up in Weatherfield and the two women confronted him.
Ken/Deidre/Mike: Back in 1982, Deirdre Barlow started sleeping with her husband’s nemesis Mike Baldwin in secret, before confessing all a year later.
When Mike turned up at the marital home, Deirdre was being throttled by her husband who then kicked her out, but years later they reconciled.
Maria/Aidan/Eva: In 2017, Aidan Connor started sleeping with girlfriend Eva Price’s best friend, Maria Connor.
Eva eventually found out and she decided to take revenge by faking a pregnancy, spending his money and planned to confront him on their wedding day.
But she had a change of heart when a remorseful Aidan confessed, and decided to marry him anyway, only for Maria to arrive and expose her fake pregnancy.
EMMERDALE
Ross/Debbie/Pete: Debbie Dingle found herself torn between two brothers, Ross and Pete Barton in 2015 in Emmerdale.
She eventually decided to marry Pete but yet again, a soap wedding day was ruined when the groom learned of his bride’s betrayal via a recording played at the wedding.
Chrissie/Robert/Aaron: Robert Sugden was married to Chrissie White and all seemed well – until he began a steamy affair with Aaron Dingle.
Robert’s ex Katie Sugden almost exposed the affair – but fell to her death before she had the chance.
However, a guilty Aaron eventually cracked and told Chrissie about the affair – after which she announced it to the whole pub.
She said: “I was considering giving you another chance, but you can forget it.”
Bethany then took off her wedding ring and tossed it to the floor, adding to Daisy: “He’s all yours.”
With Charlotte Jordan’s Corrie exit already confirmed, how will Daisy’s final storyline play out?
