January is the perfect time to upgrade your mobile, with networks including Three offering fantastic trade-in incentives.
You could save a packet on Apple’s flagship, with up to £360 off the iPhone 16 when you trade in your old phone and take advantage of Three’s airtime deals.
The exact amount you save depends on the model and condition of your current handset.
Three provides a handy online tool, allowing you to get a quote before committing to a purchase.
For example, trading in an iPhone 14 in good condition could save you up to £216 on the iPhone 16 itself.
But there are more savings to be found on Three’s airtime plans, with savings of up to £144 off select 24-month contracts.
A particularly attractive option is the 150GB plan, now reduced to just £19 per month.
This plan provides ample data, 5G connectivity, unlimited calls and texts, and access to Three+ Rewards at no extra cost.
There’s a £30 upfront cost and yearly price rises to factor in, but Three’s upfront about those, so no nasty surprises.
While I haven’t had my hands on the iPhone 16 myself, it created quite a buzz on its release.
It’s Apple’s first AI-integrated handset, and Apple Intelligence is the real selling factor.
Thanks to the A18 chip, it’s two generations ahead of the iPhone 15, meaning slicker photo editing, and an improved Siri that actually understands you.
The handset itself comes with a familiar 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, in five colour-ways, including Pink, Ultramarine, and Teal.
And if you’re accident prone like me, you’ll be pleased to see it features the latest Ceramic Shield screen that’s two times tougher than any smartphone glass.
