Ron’s ‘real reason’ for returning to Love Island ‘worked out’ by fans – after he swore he’d NEVER do a dating show again
LOVE Island All Stars fans think they’ve worked out the ‘real reason’ Ron Hall signed up for the show.
Ron, 27, first shot to fame on the winter series of Love Island in 2023 and left with ex-girlfriend Lana Jenkins.
The former couple split three months after leaving the villa, and he previously told The Sun he’d never do another dating show.
Following his U-turn after arriving in the South African villa as a bombshell this week, viewers think he’s hoping for a reunion with Lana, 27.
Writing on social media, one said: “I know Ron is already regretting going back on this show. He’s come on, doesn’t even fancy anyone, still somewhat hung up on his ex.”
Another said: “I know he’s clinging onto the slim hope that they’re going to bring Lana back and he might be able to get a reunion.”
A third agreed, commenting: “He’s gonna be so disappointed when she doesn’t end up walking in. I believe that’s the biggest reason why he came back.”
And a fourth added: “I just know he’s in the beach hut everyday asking the producers when she’s coming in.”
Speaking to The Sun shortly after splitting from Lana, Ron said: “I will never do a dating show again, I will never have a relationship in the public eye again because I think it ruins it.
“It played a part in mine and Lana’s relationship.
“I think relationship programmes are quite forced and it doesn’t happen naturally, it’s great and it works.
“It worked for me because I didn’t expect to fall in love. But I think sometimes it can play with peoples feelings too much.”
When it was teased last week that Ron would be turning up as a bombshell, Lana took to social media to share her reaction.
She posted a selfie showing her looking off to the side with the caption: “Stop it right now.”
During a dramatic recoupling last night Ron chose to couple up with Kaz Crossley.
