Molly-Mae Hague slammed for ‘dangerous driving’ in new documentary as charity warns of ‘devastating consequences’
MOLLY-MAE Hague has been blasted by road safety campaigners for scoffing chicken nuggets while behind the wheel.
The star is seen visiting the drive-thru in her £180,000 Mercedes-Benz 4×4 and ordering a haul of food while on camera in her new Prime documentary series.

Road safety charities have now slammed the mum-of-one for eating while driving and warned of its potential consequences.
Caitlin Taylor, the Road Safety Manager at the The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, told MailOnline: “Eating, drinking, or engaging in any activity that takes your hands off the wheel or your mind off the road can significantly increase the risk of a collision.
“Distracted driving is a major contributor to road collisions, with reaction times slowed and the ability to respond to hazards severely reduced. In 2023, in-vehicle distractions contributed to 754 road collisions that resulted in fatalities or serious injuries.
“Driving at high speeds – where permitted – also demands a driver’s full concentration to ensure the safety of themselves, their passengers, and other road users. Even a momentary distraction, such as eating a snack, can lead to devastating consequences.”
Harriet Hernando, from IAM RoadSmart, also told the outlet: “While it’s not illegal to eat while driving, anything that takes your attention away from the road is distracting, and the police can prosecute for careless driving.”
She added: “Our advice to Molly-Mae Hague is to avoid eating while driving and take a break instead.”
The first three episodes of Molly-Mae’s documentary series, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, dropped on Amazon Prime last week.
In the first show of her new series, Molly was seen visiting a McDonald’s drive-thru in her luxury Mercedes G-Class.
The former Love Island star ordered a large chicken Big Mac meal, six chicken nuggets and a mozzarella dipper share-box.
She also added BBQ, curry and ketchup dips to her order.
Moments later, Molly was shown tucking into her chicken nuggets while driving, with one hand being used to scoff her food while the other was on the steering well.
The camera flashed to her dashboard and it showed she was travelling at 61mph.
Molly said: “I love food, like, I actually live to eat.
“So many people that are around me are like, ‘I’ll just get the salad’ and that could never be me.
“If it’s salad with chips then yeah I’m on board.”
Eating and driving: The rules
Is it against the law to eat while driving?
It is NOT against the law to eat while driving.
However, the RAC warns that it could still lead to police prosecution.
The motoring organisation states in its 19 Driving Myths Uncovered: “If you get distracted while snacking behind the wheel, the police could prosecute you for careless driving if they consider you to not be in proper control of the vehicle, an offence which carries an on-the-spot fine of £100 and three penalty points.”
What about drinking?
“Just like eating behind the wheel, taking a swig of water or coffee while you’re driving is not illegal, but it could carry the same careless driving penalty if you’re accused of being distracted,” the RAC adds.
A scientific study carried out by Loughborough University in 2015 actually found that driving while dehydrated can be more dangerous than drink-driving.
As a result, drivers are encouraged to take a bottle of water with them on long journeys, especially in hot weather.
Molly’s documentary follows her life as a busy mum to daughter Bambi, one, and as a business woman.
It also follows her in the aftermath of her split with fiancé Tommy Fury.
Fans this week, however, are convinced Molly has dropped a massive clue that she’s reunited with the professional boxer.
It comes after The Sun revealed their secret kiss on New Year’s Eve.
Eagle-eyed followers spotted Tommy in a window reflection in a video she had taken at home of Bambi playing with their cats.
Some have even hailed it as the couple’s ‘soft launch’ of their reunion.
