Masked Singer’s Bush is famous comedian, say fans – but she’s doing an impression of a soap star
THE MASKED Singer’s Bush is comedian Morgana Robinson, say fans – but she’s doing an impression of a soap star.
ITV viewers are convinced Morgana, 42, is behind the costume, despite the character speaking with a cockney accent in her VTs.
The Masked Singer’s Bush is comedian Morgana Robinson, say fans[/caption]It’s all because Australia-born Morgana often posts celebrity impressions to social media, one of which is of EastEnders legend Natalie Cassidy.
As Saturday’s episode unfolded and Bush performed Hold My Hand by Jess Glynne, fans rushed to social media with their predictions.
One wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Bush is Morgana Robinson.”
Another added: “I was CONVINCED Bush was Natalie Cassidy but now I’m sooooo convinced it’s Morgana Robinson doing her Natalie Cassidy impression.”
Someone else agreed: “Turned on #MaskedSingerUK and I think the singing bush is Morgana Robinson as Nat Cass.”
A fourth stated: “I’m sure bush is Morgana Robinson.”
They previously reckoned After Life actress Kerry Godliman has been secretly performing as Bush.
Who is Morgana Robinson?
Morgana is a comedian, impressionist and actress.
She was born in Australia in 1982, before being raised on the other side of the planet – specifically in Kent.
Morgana is not married, nor has she spoken out in public about any potential partner.
However, the comedian posted a picture on Instagram of herself in the arms of a man, which fans have speculated to be actor Matt Berry who featured in House Of Fools alongside Morgana.
In 2006 she discovered she had a half-sister, who turned out to be the Australian-born punk rock star Brody Dalle, known for fronting The Distillers.
Morgana’s big break came in 2009 when she was an art graduate working in a West End restaurant where celebrity agent John Noel was a regular diner.
She plucked up the courage to hand him her showreel, which she described as “just me, sitting on my sofa bed, in a wig”.
He signed her the very next day and the following year, Channel 4 commissioned The Morgana Show, a five-part comedy sketch-based series.
In 2012, Morgana starred in her first impersonation-based sketch show called Very Important People on which she took off all sorts of stars including Danny Dyer, Russell Brand, EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy and Adele.
This also landed her the Best Comedy Breakthrough Artists award at the British Comedy Awards that year and she soon became a household name.
In 2016 she landed a new series called The Agency on BBC Two, which got rave reviews and an outpouring of love on Twitter.
The series sees Morgana doing what she does best as she plays the parts of every celebrity on the books of a talent agency Mann Management, including former Bake Off hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, Adele and Gregg Wallace.
It was done as a fly-on-the-wall spoof and sees Morgana playing the parts of all the celebrities.
In 2016, she began her role in Channel 4 comedy The Windsors as Pippa and in 2021 she became the voice of CBeebies animal soap opera Garden Tales.
She’s appeared in three episodes of David Schwimmer‘s Intelligence.
In 2021 she is one of three famous faces taking on the wacky challenges set by the Taskmaster.
Who has left The Masked Singer 2025 so far?
Much to the delight of telly fans, The Masked Singer is back in 2025.
Twelve celebrities have been hidden behind intricate costumes, with their identities concealed.
Sadly, not all of this year’s whacky and wonderful characters can make it to the end of the show, as there can only be one winner.
Here’s who has been unmasked so far:
Tattoo – despite Davina McCall saying “you sound the same” after this character was unmasked, none of the judges guessed it was 80s singer Carol Decker, whose hit China In Your Hand was a No1 hit for five weeks
Toad In The Hole – a massive diva strop saw the character storm off the stage after the judges voted them off. They later returned to be unmasked as singer Macy Gray
Pegasus – the mythical horse was revealed to be Prue Leith, with judge Jonathan Ross correctly guessing her identity
Spag Bol – this character was first to be unmasked and was none other than Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway.
Plus there was one extra unmasking this season, with Giant Joel – a caricature of host Joel Dommett – unveiled as double-double Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah.
