Round Rock local claims $1M Mega Millions prize, missed the Mega Ball by one digit
AUSTIN (KXAN)-- A Round Rock native took home a $1 million Mega Million prize and missed the $1.2 billion Mega Ball Jackpot prize by one digit, according to a release from the Texas Lottery.
The anonymous player claimed the $1 million Mega Millions prize during the drawing on Dec. 27. The winning ticket was purchased from a 7-Eleven convenience store in Arlington.
The Round Rock local matched all five white ball numbers, 3-7-37-49-55, correctly but missed the $1.2 billion Mega Ball No. 6 by one digit, the release said.
The winner of the $1.2 billion Jackpot prize was an out-of-state player, the release said. To win the Mega Millions Jackpot, players must match all six numbers drawn, including the Mega Ball.
