Church roof collapses under weight of snow in Church Point

CHURCH POINT, La. (KLFY) -- One church in Church Point saw the dangerous side of Tuesday's Blizzard of 2025 when its roof collapsed under the snow's weight, according to a post on the Point Church Facebook page.
"As many are enjoying the beauty and wonder of the historic winter storm of 2025, it is unfortunate that our Activity Center did not survive its impact," the post read. "The Activity Center is the home of our Kid’s Church, as well as the location many of our groups are held. Our teens and others from the community gather weekly to play basketball and volleyball."
The church posted a video of the damage, seen below:
"While we are saddened by this, we look toward the future with hope, fully understanding that God always has a plan," the post said.
