NYC Parks Department hiring for positions with salaries up to $94K
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation is hiring for multiple positions.
Some positions have a salary of $60,000, and others start at $72,232.
If you are a New Yorker who loves the great outdoors and open spaces like Central Park and Prospect Park or taking in scenic views at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the city also offers seasonal work.
The five boroughs are currently seeking City Park Workers for maintenance and operations. This seasonal position has a salary range of $18.71 to $21.52 an hour and will accept applications open until filled, the website reads.
Positions like a climber and pruner, recreation specialist, or an executive administrative coordinator for capital projects are year-round. These positions also allow for city benefits and perks like pension and health care coverage.
The pay for the positions are:
- The projected salary for the Executive Administrative Coordinator for Capital Projects is $60,889 - $94,521
- Climber and Pruner $72,232, annually
- Recreation Specialist $23.66 an hour
- Electrician $121,879, annually
- Forester $66,964, annually
