Where to find warming centers in the Capital Region
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — As temperatures dip into the single digits, Capital Region counties are opening up their warming centers and overnight shelters to accommodate those in need. Here's where you can find a warming station in parts of the Capital Region and surrounding areas:

Horace Inman Center, 53 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam

- Wednesday, Thursday: 8 a.m - 4 p.m.
The Fort Plain Senior Center, 204 Canal Street, Fort Plain
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Thursday: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Mohawk Valley VFW Post #3275, 30 River St., Fort Plain
- Open 7 days a week, 7 a.m. - 12 p.m.

- Mon - Fri: 8 AM - 4 PM

Kimball Street Warming Center, 1 Kimball Street, Amsterdam
- Open daily: 5 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
- Services include 10 beds, hot meals, washer and dryer access, and showers
- No check-ins after 10 p.m.

Danielle’s House, 218 East Main Street, Amsterdam
- Offers a mix of emergency, transitional, and permanent housing
- Between November and April, the first floor provides shelter and support for seven unhoused adults each night
- During the rest of the year, these rooms are utilized for transitional housing.
