Netflix Raises Prices for 2025, Including First Increase for Ad-Supported Plan
Netflix is increasing prices this year.
The new prices will go up by about $1 to $2.50 depending on the plan you have, though it’s not immediately clear when the new prices will go into effect.
Netflix said in a letter to investors, “As we continue to invest in programming and deliver more value for our members, we will occasionally ask our members to pay a little more so that we can re-invest to further improve Netflix. To that end, we are adjusting prices today across most plans in the U.S., Canada, Portugal and Argentina (which was already factored into the 2025 guidance we provided in October 2024).”

- The ad-supported tier will increase from $6.99 per month to $7.99 per month.
- The Standard plan without ads will increase from $15.49 per month to $17.99 per month. This plan provides two simultaneous HD streams.
- The Premium tier without ads will increase from $22.99 per month to $24.99 per month. This plans allows for four simulteanous HD streams.
- Adding an extra member to a primary account will increase from $7.99 to $8.99 per month.
