'Sonic the Hedgehog 4' Gets a 2027 Release Date!
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has a release date!
The fourth installment in the hit movie adaptation of the video game series is set to arrive in theaters on March 19, 2027, via Variety.
The studio announced the movie prior to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 hitting theaters. When it finally did in December, it became the highest-grossing entry of the franchise, bringing in $218 million domestically and $422 million globally to date.

The original movie earned $148 million domestically and $319 million globally, setting a record at the time for the highest-grossing video game adaptation in North America.
The 2022 sequel brought in $190 million domestically $405 million globally. Altogether, the movies passed the $1 billion mark at the global box office.
Jeff Fowler has directed all three films, with Ben Schwartz providing the voice of Sonic. Jim Carrey plays the hedgehog’s main antagonist Dr. Robotnik, while Idris Elba and Colleen O’Shaughnessey voice the pals of Sonic, Knuckles and Tails. Keanu Reeves also voices Shadow the Hedgehog.
