Sex charges against P Diddy to be investigated in new Channel 4 documentary probing his infamous White Parties
A BOMBSHELL documentary about disgraced music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is in the works.
Combs, 54, was charged with racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution after his arrest last September following a string of allegations against the rapper, producer and music executive.
Joining forces with Lion TV, Channel 4 will now examine the charges, following the success of recent documentaries on controversial public figures such as Russell Brand, Andrew Tate and Marilyn Manson.
A TV insider said: “As the clock ticks towards Diddy’s trial, it gives an opportunity for those yet to have their voices heard in this case to speak up and give their testimony.
“This in-depth programme will dive into all the charges, the highs and lows of Diddy’s success and what went on behind the scenes at his infamous White Parties.
“It will no doubt produce some very shocking revelations.”
Diddy has been behind bars at New York’s Metropolitan Detention Centre since his arrest.
Accused of running a sex crime empire, Diddy has denied the claims he is facing — stemming from a months-long investigation — and has pleaded not guilty in court.
His trial is due to start on May 5.
Channel 4’s series Diddy: In Plain Sight is expected to air later this year and follows an announcement by Netflix that they have also been making a documentary about the fallen star, titled Diddy Do It?
It comes in the wake of a number of series, already out across the Pond, delving into Diddy’s alleged crimes.
Among them are Peacock’s The Making of a Bad Boy, TMZ’s The Downfall Of Diddy and HBO’s The Fall Of Diddy — announced last year and due to air Stateside next week.
Lion TV has a string of heavyweight projects in its back catalogue, so is sure to dig down deep into this bombshell case.
Its other credits include hit Netflix documentaries Secrets Of The Saqqara Tomb and Pompeii: The New Dig.
It is also no stranger to celebrity — having worked on BBC military documentary RAF At 100 with actor Ewan McGregor and his former Tornado pilot brother Colin in 2018, and with Emma Willis on CBBC’s Style It Out last year, where young designers competed to win a show at London Fashion Week.

The series will include testimonies from some of Rennie’s hundreds of victims, and look into why there has been such a stark increase in the illegal practice of “catfishing” – luring someone into a relationship by use of a fictional online persona.

I exclusively revealed last June that the BBC had signed her up to front the travel show.
Alison said: “It was Aidan’s first time filming, so it felt like I had a work-experience apprentice with me.
“He has the same work ethic as me – early mornings, late nights – but handled it really well, I was quite surprised. You know how teenagers can be, but he was great.”
Aidan joked: “I learned a lot, like that she’s actually a professional. I used to think presenting was easy, but then I had to do it and realised, ‘Wow, she’s really good’.”
CHANNEL 5 are working with elite units of the British Army and Royal Navy on a new series about bomb disposal.
