I won The Traitors and I know Faithfuls who can overthrow Minah & Charlotte – key twist could still swing it their way
A SOLDIER and a spy could be The Faithfuls’ only hope to topple The Traitors when the final chapter of the BBC’s murder mystery commences tonight.
That’s the verdict of series one Traitor Wilf Webster, who is backing ex-government hostage negotiator and diplomat Alexander Dragonetti and ex-Army girl Leanne Quigley to shake-up the last two Traitor’s reign.
Series one Traitor Wilf Webster was unmasked as Traitor in 2022’s final by Faithfuls Aaron, Meryl and Hannah and missed out on a £101,050 prize[/caption] Wilf predicts an almighty battle between the dastardly duo Minah Shannon, pictured, and Charlotte Berman[/caption] Chaos was bubbling under the porcelain platters as newly-recruited Traitor Charlotte began to plot her fellow felon Minah’s downfall[/caption]Before that he predicts an almighty battle between the dastardly duo Minah Shannon and Charlotte Berman to kickstart the epic conclusion of Claudia Winkleman’s smash hit series, which is drawing in nearly 10million viewers per episode.
In Friday’s episode, we left the Ardross Castle clan on a high following an emotional dinner party.
But chaos was bubbling under the porcelain platters as newly-recruited Traitor Charlotte began to plot her fellow felon Minah’s downfall. Wilf said: “Charlotte is definitely going to throw Minah under the bus.
“I think it’s really hard because when you’re recruited, the premise is that the current Traitors will turn on you, so I think Charlotte has gone in there thinking that to save herself.
“I don’t think Minah will make it to the final.
“Minah needs to get the evilness that’s inside her somewhere, release that and realise that she can’t trust Charlotte.”
Last episode, Charlotte had begun to plant suspicion about her compatriot, mum-of-one Minah, a call centre manager from Liverpool
Minah gushed: “I really love our duo. I feel like we work well together.
“I want to make it to the end with you. I feel like we should just share the money two ways.”
Charlotte mustered: “I think we can do that.”
In a private piece to camera, she said: “I’m not stupid. I think we could get to the final 100 per cent.
“But I absolutely do not think that she would ever see herself not winning. I don’t trust her. And she shouldn’t trust me.”
Separately, Minah said: “As a Traitor, it’s so hard to trust traitors. But I can trust Charlotte. I’d be honoured to be standing up there with Charlotte at the final.”
Wilf was unmasked as Traitor in 2022’s final by Faithfuls Aaron, Meryl and Hannah and missed out on a £101,050 prize, after his fellow traitor Kieran planted suspicion about him.
‘Absolutely destroy’
He commented: “Charlotte has said Minah’s name to basically everybody in the castle, and nobody has said anything back to Minah which is a problem for her.
“Charlotte just needs to keep on doing what she’s doing.”
Away from the in-fighting, six Faithfuls can stop the Traitors’ marching to the prize pot — including Freddie, Jake, Joe and Frankie but Wilf reckons Alexander and Leanne will make the difference.
He said: “I think Alexander has clocked Minah, he is my favourite at the moment. He’s really intelligent, really handsome and a really nice person.
“If Alexander was in my series and I was a Traitor, I’d murder him because I think he’d absolutely destroy me at the Round Table.
“Leanne is playing one of the best games as a Faithful that we’ve ever seen. People are really overlooking her intelligence and her abilities, which is great because she can just sail through but still speak when she wants to and have opinions.
“Minah is really underestimating Leanne. I think that’s what we’re going to see at the end because it’s a very female-dominated series.
“It would be an amazing story to have a strong faithful who’s a woman against a strong traitor who’s a woman.”
Claudia Winkleman hosts the beloved series, which is drawing in nearly 10million viewers per episode[/caption]Before the final round table on Friday, a big twist is promised, which is rumoured to see one player given the power of The Seer. The role, inspired by party game Werewolf, would mean another player’s identity will be confirmed for them.
Of the shake-up, Wilf said in the Mecca Bingo chat: “It’s going to be very interesting but depends on how they use it.
“It would work perfectly if one of The Traitors got the role of The Seer, because they could literally say ‘I interviewed Charlotte, and she’s a Faithful’ and they’ve won.”
But with just three episodes left, he said: “I think the Faithfuls are going to win and I hope Leanne, Freddie and Alexander are the winners.”
- The Traitors continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
WHO COULD WIN?
TRAITOR – Minah Shannon, 29
BEST MOMENT: Throwing a side eye at Anna for spelling her name Meina.
“I got married during the pandemic and so I’ve never had a honeymoon.
“I’d love to be able to go on a road trip across America with Liam and my daughter Luna. I’d also use the money for a house deposit.
“I’m naturally very competitive and because I always want to win, I’ll do anything. In the back of my mind, I think how I’m doing this for my family and that trumps any of the friendships I make.”
TRAITOR – Charlotte Berman, 33
BEST MOMENT: Pretending to be Welsh because she thinks it is a trustworthy accent.
“Firstly, I really want to go on a safari holiday.
“The second thing is I’m having slight trouble with having a baby, so yeah money towards that would be nice.
“Maybe the holiday will negate the need.
“I will do whatever it takes to win. I think the odds are so slim that I almost haven’t thought about making the final.
“It’s so hard to control.”
FAITHFUL – Alexander Dragonetti, 38
Wilf believes Alexander has ‘clocked’ Minah and his favourite at the moment[/caption]BEST MOMENT: Falling in a bush playing badminton in the garden.
“If I won I would like to give some money to a charity that I really care about. My brother had special needs and used to go to a summer camp which gave parents a break.
“He was 17 when he died. I was 24.
“I’d love to keep that kind of thing going.”
FAITHFUL – Leanne Quigley, 28
Wilf hopes Faithful Leanne is among the winners[/caption]BEST MOMENT: Single-handedly carrying a statue up a hill.
“I would love so much to have another baby and, obviously, IVF doesn’t come cheap.
“It was only 26 weeks when I went into labour with the twins and we spent the first three months in intensive care.
“The twins were in and out of hospital.
“So I would love to have that again and for it to go right.”
FAITHFUL – Freddie Fraser, 20
Freddie has been continually targeted by his fellow co-stars[/caption]BEST MOMENT: Performing a backflip in the castle corridor and showering on camera.
“I live at home with just me and my mum, and she’s a single parent and she’s had so many jobs for the whole of her life.
“I’d like to pay off some of her debt or just take my mum on holiday.
“And then if I want to do law school, I’ve got to pay for it for myself.
“So it would be putting money towards that.”
FAITHFUL – Jake Brown, 28
Jake flipped a chair after Linda was uncovered as one of the Traitors[/caption]BEST MOMENT: Flipping the chair after Linda was revealed as a Traitor.
“I had some challenges growing up with my disability, cerebral palsy.
“So I’d want to give back to mum and dad. I always say that they’re superman and superwoman.
“I’d want to kind of take them on holiday and show my appreciation.
“And also like me and my wife constantly looking at things to do to the house.”
FAITHFUL – Joe Scott, 37
Joe bashed Kasim because of a ‘twinkle’ in his eye[/caption]BEST MOMENT: Banishing Kasim because he saw a “twinkle in his eye”.
“I’d like to do a lot more travelling and turn left on an airplane for once.
“And if teaching doesn’t work out, buy my own boozer, run a pub, Peggy Mitchell style. If any traitors come in, I’ll tell them to get out of my pub!
“I need to learn to drive. I’m nearly 40 and I can’t drive.
“I’d love to have a Mini Cooper. My gran had one of the old fashion minis and she had to put a peg in the clutch to get it started.”
FAITHFUL – Francesca Rowan-Plowden
Francesca says she wants to win the money for her boys[/caption]BEST MOMENT: Running around the lake wearing heeled slingbacks.
“I would like it for my boys. It’s the reason I’ve done everything I’ve done since I was 30.
“Single mums can’t rely on anybody.
“I would like to put money towards my son going to university.
“Providing for my kids has always been my motivation.
“Although, I would quite like a nice handbag.”
