NFL Rumors: Patriots Interview ‘Rising Star’ For Coordinator Job
Mike Vrabel and the Patriots reportedly are kicking the tires on a “rising star.”
The New England Patriots on Monday interviewed Grant Udinski for their offensive coordinator position, according to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.
Udinski served as the Minnesota Vikings assistant offensive coordinator and assistant quarterbacks coach in 2024. Udinski was “very valuable” in Minnesota and is considered a “rising star” in the league, Breer wrote.
The 28-year-old spent the last five seasons in the NFL. He is also a finalist for the Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator job, per Breer.
Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell, one of top offensive minds in the league, hired Udinski prior to the 2022 campaign. Udinski initially was an assistant to the head coach/special projects before he was elevated to assistant quarterbacks coach/ chief of special projects.
Udinski got his professional start under then-Panthers head coach Matt Rhule, who he met as a graduate assistant at Baylor University.
Udinski is the third candidate to interview as the Patriots reportedly interviewed Thomas Brown and Marcus Brady for the coordinator position last week.
