The new sideboard I wanted is £200 in IKEA – so I found a cheap option on an often-forgotten site for £89.99 delivered
SHE wanted to treat herself to a new sideboard.
But when she looked in IKEA at the kind of thing she wanted, one mum was stunned to discover it was going to cost her upwards of £200.
A mum was left stunned when she started looking for a new sideboard, and found it would cost her around £200 in IKEA[/caption] So she started looking online, and came across this option on the Debenhams website[/caption] Not only was the price a bargain as it was, it also INCLUDED delivery[/caption]And while she could undoubtedly find something cheaper in the charity shop, she specifically wanted something new rather than a second-hand piece.
So she decided to have a look online – and quickly came across a mega deal on a website that people often forget to check.
“On IKEA, the ones I liked were like coming up nearly £200, so no thank you, can’t afford it,” she said in a video on her TikTok page.
She then showed the one she’d found on the Debenhams website, which was originally priced at over £200, but had been reduced in the sale to just £89.99.
Not only that, but that price actually includes delivery.
“It comes in white as well, but I think grey would be better with the kids’ sticky fingers,” she grinned.
“Who knew?”
While on the site, she also had a look at some of the other items on offer, and was surprised to see that there were clothes from names such as PrettyLittleThing on sale.
“So go on to Debenhams if you were looking for a bargain!” she concluded.
“Updating our home decor and found this absolute BARG from @Debenhams!” she captioned the TikTok video.
“Super cheap isn’t it hun!” one person commented.
To which the bargain-loving mum replied: “Honestly chuffed! Could spend a small fortune on there!”
Debenhams left the high street for good in 2021 after struggling to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
The historic high street chain suffered slumping sales and fell into administration within weeks of the virus hitting the UK.
Online retailer Boohoo bought the website and brand – but the deal excluded all 118 remaining UK stores and 12,000 Debenhams jobs.
But shoppers can still shop a whole host of fashion, homeware, make-up and fragrances on the Debenhams website.
While Debenhams’ physical stores closed their doors almost four years ago, the website is still running – and offers some amazing deals too[/caption]
